This Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy supplements the Bente Privacy Policy and applies to residents of Washington and Nevada. It describes how Bente ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares "Consumer Health Data" as defined by applicable state laws.
 

1. Consumer Health Data We Collect

Because "Consumer Health Data" is defined broadly, the information you voluntarily provide in your "My Preferences" profile may be included, specifically:

  • Individual Health Conditions and Status: Information regarding your diet (e.g., specific dietary restrictions or preferences).

  • Health-Related Attributes: Data regarding your exercise frequency, sleep habits, and lifestyle choices such as smoking, cannabis, or alcohol use.

  • Physical Measurements: Information concerning your body type or height.

  • Inferences: Any data we derive or infer from the above categories to customize your experience on Bente.

2. Purposes for Collection and Use

We collect and use this data only to provide the Bente service, specifically to:

  • Personalize your "Discovery" experience and match you with relevant users or content.

  • Maintain and secure your account and the Bente platform.

  • Communicate with you regarding your profile and preferences.

3. Disclosure of Consumer Health Data

We may share the categories of data listed above with:

  • Other Users: If you enable "Discovery," your preferences (e.g., your diet or exercise habits) are shared with other Bente members to facilitate connections.

  • Service Providers: Third-party vendors who help us with data hosting, security, and app maintenance.

  • Legal/Corporate: Parties involved in a merger, or law enforcement when required by legal process.

4. Your Privacy Rights

Residents of Washington and Nevada have the following rights:

  • Right to Access: Confirm if we are collecting your health data and access a list of third parties with whom it has been shared.

  • Right to Withdraw Consent: Stop future collection of your health data.

  • Right to Deletion: Request that we delete the health-related information in your profile.
