Since Bente is about meeting in the moment, your photos should look like you right now. No heavy filters or ten-year-old vacation pics. Upload photos that show your face clearly so people can recognize you when you Check In at a venue.

What should I put in my bio?

 

Keep it brief and conversational. Since you’ll be meeting face-to-face, you don’t need a novel. Mention your favorite drink, a game you’re good at, or your industry (if you’re here for Collab).

Why do I need to scan my Government ID?

 

Bente is a 100% verified community. Unlike other apps where anyone can make a fake profile, we require a government ID scan and facial verification to ensure everyone is real. We prioritize your physical safety over anonymity. No bots, no catfishing, just real people.

How do Bente "Connections" work?

 

There is no swiping, but there is a smart algorithm working in the background. To connect, you must be physically present at the same location. However, we don't just show you everyone in the room—our algorithm curates your experience based on your Preferences, Interests, and Intent. We prioritize connecting you with the people you are most likely to vibe with.

Is Bente free?

 

Bente is free to download on iOS and Android. Basic features: checking in, setting intents, and sending requests, are free. We want everyone to have the chance to meet organically.

How does "Checking In" work?

 

You are invisible on the app until you physically arrive at a Hotspot or Hotzone and tap "Check In." Even after checking in, you remain invisible to the general public. You only share your location when you are in an active Icebreaker Session. The only exception is if another user has Bente Direct and you have Discovery enabled then your profile will appear at the location you checked in.

What are the 4 Intents?

 

Bente isn't just for dating. When you Check In, you set your "Intent" to guide your experience:

• Friendship: For finding any kind of friend—whether it's a new bestie, a hiking partner, or just someone to hang out with.

• Flirtation: For casual connections and seeing where things go.

• Collab: For business connections and creative projects.

• Romance: For finding a date or long-term partner.

How do Icebreakers work?

 

Forget sending texts. Icebreakers on Bente get you face-to-face immediately. Here is the flow:

1. Check In at a location.

2. Place a Game: Choose between "Regular" or "Blind Mode."

3. The Match: Our algorithm finds a compatible user nearby and shows them to you.

4. The Request: You send them a request.

5. The Meet: If they accept, the app guides you to them in real-time. You walk up, meet then and there, and talk in real life.

 

Where does Bente work?

 

Bente works in three types of locations:

• Partner Venues: Official locations we have teamed up with.

• Bente Selected Spots: Cool public places curated by our team.

• Hotzones: High-traffic areas where you can check in and connect.

 

 

Can I use Bente from my couch?

 

No. You can edit your profile from home, but you cannot browse new profiles, match, or chat with new people unless you are out in the real world at a venue.

Yes. Safety is our top priority. We have a dedicated Trust & Safety team that monitors platform activity 24/7. In addition to our ID verification systems, real humans review user reports and flag suspicious behavior to ensure immediate action is taken.

How do you work with Law Enforcement? 

 

Bente cooperates fully with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. Because every user is verified with a government-issued ID, there is no anonymity here. Any illegal activity on this platform, including harassment, stalking, assault, or fraud, is permanently tied to your real-world identity. We retain data necessary to aid criminal investigations and will proactively hand over user information to authorities when a crime is reported.

What happens if I break the law on Bente?

 

If you use Bente to commit a crime, we will provide your verified identity, location history, and communication logs to the police. We have a direct channel for law enforcement requests. Unlike other apps where you can hide behind a fake email, on Bente, we know exactly who you are.
