Flovara Inc. (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use the Bente mobile application (“App”) and related services. It applies only to users located in the United States.
By using Bente, you agree to the practices described below. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.

a. Information You Provide Directly

Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, date of birth, gender, and your stated intent for using Bente (e.g., dating, friendship, collaboration).

Profile Content: Photos, videos, AR avatar customizations, and any other details you choose to share.

User Content: Messages, chat logs, audio/video interactions, event participation, and other user-generated content.

Payment Information: Payment details when you purchase Bente Bucks currency or premium features. Payments are processed by third-party providers such as Square; we do not store your full payment card information.
b. Information We Collect Automatically

Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, browser type, IP address.

Usage Data: Log data such as session duration, features used, app interactions, and engagement with content.

Location Data: Approximate or precise geolocation (with your device’s permission) to enable map-based features and event check-ins.

c. Information from Other Sources
If you choose to connect Bente with third-party services (such as Apple, Google, or social media accounts), we may receive limited information such as your name, profile picture, or contact details, depending on the service’s settings.

2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:

Provide, operate, and improve Bente’s features, including matching, AR experiences, and venue check-ins.

Personalize your profile and recommendations.

Communicate with you, including sending updates, support responses, and promotional messages (with opt-out options).

Monitor activity to promote safety, prevent fraud, and enforce our Community Guidelines.

3. How We Share Information
We respect your privacy. We do not sell or share your personal information for monetary value or for cross-context behavioral advertising, as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).
We may share your information in the following limited situations:

Service Providers: We work with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate Bente, including cloud hosting, analytics, customer support, and payment processing (currently through Square or other authorized providers). These partners are only permitted to use your information to provide services on our behalf and must protect it in accordance with our instructions.

Venue Partners (Aggregated Data Only): We may provide participating venues with aggregated or de-identified engagement information (for example, the number of check-ins at a location). We do not disclose individual users’ names, contact information, or other personally identifiable details to venues without your explicit consent.

Legal and Safety: We may share information when required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or when necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, partners, or the public.

Business Transactions: If Flovara undergoes a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction in compliance with applicable law.

4. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have specific rights regarding your personal information. These can include:

Right to Know – You may request details about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, use, and disclose.

Right to Delete – You may request that we delete certain personal information we have collected from you, subject to legal or contractual obligations.

Right to Opt Out of Sale/Sharing – We do not sell or share your personal information for monetary value or for cross-context behavioral advertising, as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). If that changes, we will update this Policy and provide you with a clear “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” option as required by law.

5. Data Retention
We retain your information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer period is required by law. For example:

Account Information: Retained for as long as your account is active, and up to 2 years after account closure (to allow for reactivation or compliance obligations).

Profile Content & Messages: Retained for up to 12 months after account closure, unless legally required to retain longer.

Payment Records: Retained as required by applicable tax and financial reporting laws (typically 7 years).
We may anonymize and retain certain data for analytics or research after deletion, but such data will no longer identify you.

6. Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use strong, unique passwords and keep them confidential.

7. International Users
Bente is intended for use in the United States. If you access Bente from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

8. Children’s Privacy
Bente is intended only for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will promptly delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in advance (for example, via in-app notice or email) and indicate when the changes will take effect. Your continued use of Bente after the effective date of those changes constitutes your acceptance.
